How it started?

Hi, I'm Rain Tran, an engineer.
Following advice from my favorite author Cal Newport on cultivating a Deep Life and bring back Web 2.0 blog. This is my cozy home in the digitally distracting world.

What do you expect to see in this blog?

I am a bit into reading, so you will see a lot of quotes from the books I'm reading; then a lot of my ideas and thoughts, many of them still raw, half-baked. I love to leave them unfinished that way so people reading them can know me better as a person, and hopefully give guidance on completing the missing dots. I greatly appreciate your help in putting your line of thought at the comment section.

Like any boy loves playing with their toys, as an engineer I love playing with my gears. Stories of my my latest tinkering on the freshly acquired knowledge, from Software Engineering, Sketchnoting to Cooking will find their place here as well.
